Theresa F. Fourcaudot Obituary (1926 - 2012)

MADISON – Theresa F. Fourcaudot, 86, passed away in Madison on June 28, 2012. She was born on January 15, 1926 the daughter of Edmond and Virginia (Badeau) Boileau. Theresa attended Madison High School. She worked at the Woolen Mill, H&W Mill and the Plastic Mill all in Madison, before spending the majority of her life as a homemaker. She married Octave Fourcaudot on Jan 15, 1947 in Madison. Theresa was a communicant of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison and a 33 year member of the Father Rasle Circle 631 Daughters of Isabella in Madison. She was also a member of The Glow Worms in Madison. Theresa was musically talented. Her favorite instruments were the guitar and mandolin. In her teens, she and her niece, Alberta Huard Nelson performed on variety shows and with a country music group entertained both on radio and throughout the state. She shared her gift of music at St. Sebastian Church for 17 years. She also performed locally with the TABS, who played in nursing homes and for area civic organizations. She was greatly honored when the TABS were asked to play for Margaret Chase Smith in 1989. Theresa enjoyed playing games: cribbage, cards, and the board game Aggravation. She also enjoyed golfing with Octave and trips to Atlantic City to go to the casino with her sister, Lizzy. Most importantly, Theresa treasured spending time with her family. Theresa is survived by two daughters, Virginia “Ginny” Binder of Bellevue, NE and Ann Gehrke of Madison; one son, Louis Fourcaudot and his wife Dolores “Doe” of Madison; seven grandchildren: Tim Binder, Angelina Gehrke, Chad Gehrke, Kristina Koob, Marcel Fourcaudot and his wife Andrea, Mathew Fourcaudot and his friend Kelsey Wilkins, Renee Belliveau and her husband Bryan; six great grandchildren; special nephew, Roger Sirois; dear friends, Roger and Aline Ferland, Elaine Billing, Alvera Sonner; several nieces and nephews; and her special pet dog Maggie. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Octave Fourcaudot; three brothers: infant Joseph Boileau, Stephen Boileau, and Camille Boileau; five sisters, Antoinette Lessard, Lucille Huard, Mary Ann Hughes, Agnes Nelson and Elizabeth Sirois. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-4pm, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Avenue, Skowhegan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm, Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 161 Main Street, Madison with Fr. John Mazzei, celebrant.
